Mattereum Asset Passport
Alleged Chupacabra Footprint Cast
This is a Mattereum Asset Passport. It is used to prove the value of physical objects. The physical objects are usually stored in a vault and bound to an Ethereum blockchain NFT. The Mattereum Asset Passport is made of a series of signed legal statements about the valuable attributes of the physical object. In most cases, you can buy a legal warranty on these legal statements, protecting you in case of error or fraud.
Disputes are heard using special legal procedures, suitable for resolving disputes of these kinds, made binding under the 1958 New York Convention on Arbitration.
See this object’s OpenSea page.

- Certification Description
A four-toed cast of an animal footprint showing in good detail claws on all four toes and five foot pads. Surrounding this is an uneven impression of the surface of the soil from which the cast was taken. This is higher at the front and back of the footprint and lower on the sides. The print is slightly off-centre towards the right of the cast. The reverse of the cast is completely flat. On the right of the cast base there is a hole in the surface caused by an air bubble during the casting process. This is likely to be unique to this particular cast and can be used to distinguish it from any others that may have been made using a mould made from the on site cast.
- Date Of Production
1995
- Place Of Origin
Florida, USA
- Materials And Techniques
Plaster of Paris. The original of this asset was produced by pouring liquid plaster of Paris into a footprint in soil and leaving it to harden. It was then removed and the surrounding plaster sanded or cut back to form an approximately circular base from which the footprint cast protrudes. It is probable that the cast is not the original taken on site, but made using a mould taken from the original cast due to the cleanness of the cast, the shape of it's edges and the flat reverse side
