The 100 gram cast gold bar is produced by one of Switzerland’s largest gold refineries, Valcambi Suisse. Each 100 gram cast gold bars contains 99.99% pure gold and is finished to a high-lustre standard. Rectangular in shape with rounded corners, the 100 gram cast gold bar has dimensions of 26 mm x 44 mm. The front of the 100 g cast gold bar is embossed with the words "Valcambi Suisse" and the distinct Valcambi refinery diamond shaped logo, as well as the bar’s weight, gold fineness and a unique 8 digit serial number. Each Valcambi 100 gram cast gold bar also displays the "CHI essayeur fondeur" mark, a mark of authenticity which guarantees that the bar has been refined, assayed and minted by Valcambi. Founded in 1961, Valcambi is one of Switzerland’s most famous gold refineries and was at one point owned by the Swiss bank Credit Suisse. Valcambi is part of the London Bullion Market Association’s prestigious Good Delivery List for gold, a listing of those gold refineries around the world which adhere to the highest operating and quality production standards.

Based on a report from SP Global the estimated carbon emissions for production of one Troy oz of gold is below 1 metric ton. With a weight of approximately 3.21 Troy oz, this bar has been calculated as emitting less than 3.21 metric tons of carbon. The total carbon output for production of the NFT paired with this bar as stated in Certification 4 of this Asset Passport has been estimated as below 300kg using the NFT CO2 footprint calculator provided by CryptoArt. These two calculations add up to a sum total carbon output of under 3.51 metric tons.
A quantity of carbon offset certificates equalling the total carbon output presented above were purchased from Nori Inc. at a cost of $17.25 per ton (inclusive of a transaction fee of $2.25) on 20 May 2021 for a total of $62.80. These carbon offset tokens were expended to offset the total carbon output of this bar and its corresponding NFT defined in Certification 4 of this Asset Passport.
